We are a Masonic Lodge that uses the Emulation Ritual and meets four times a year at Freemasons’ Hall, Great Queen Street, London.
Historically the Lodge was associated with horticulture, from which we derive our name and symbols. In recent years, the Lodge has expanded to include people from all walks of life, and boasts a strong and vibrant membership with a particular focus on excellence in ritual matters.
We meet on the first Tuesdays in February, April, October and December, and have a Lodge of Instruction that meets for the 2 weeks prior to any such meeting at Mark Masons’ Hall.
Freemasonry is about sharing a common desire for charitable support and following a high moral code. It is a male-only society, focused on following the three core principles and improving oneself and others. Our society is open to men of any race, religion, political belief and status.
One of the most common misconceptions about Freemasonry – and there are many of them – is that you have to be invited to join. There is absolutely no reason why you should not ask to join – in fact that is the correct procedure.
The Lodge meets on the first Tuesdays in February, April, October and December.
For 2019-20, the meeting dates are 1st October 2019, 3rd December 2019, 4th February 2020 and 7th April 2020.

This year marked the second outing of the new format, and its success was unmistakable: an afternoon session, formally “called off”, allowed hundreds of friends and family to attend and witness their favourite Masons being invested. The galleries of the Grand Temple were filled to the rafters with proud guests - a joyous, supportive atmosphere that has quickly become a defining hallmark of the revised structure.
